Oil pan selection

I've read up on the oil pressure loss at higher RPMs here, and want to avoid that as I plan on road racing the TA when it is done. It appeared that the best solution was an aftermarket oil pan. Initially, Canton was the best choice, but then I read a lot of bad experiences here (oil leaks, hits steering rack, header clearance, etc.) with both the old (244) and new (242) F-body pans.

A second concern is the customer service (or lack thereof) from Canton, and the best deal I've found on the pan was at Nu-Tek, which appears to be out of business. They had outstanding references on this board a while back, but lately they have many complaints about unfinished work, unreturned calls, etc.

What I need to know is what is the best solution for an LT1 oil pan? I want to retain the factory oil level sensor.

The motor is a 383 LT1, 3.75" Eagle crank, 5.7" Eagle H-beam profiled stroker rods. I'll be running Mac mid length headers. I have the Moroso blueprinted SBC pump that Jegs/Summit sells, along with a Moroso pan (no provision for the oil level sensor) as well as the stock pan. If I can get by w/ a windage tray or something simple (also cheap, I still have to buy injectors and a few other big $ things ) that would be great.

Thanks for any input.

How about a Doug Rippie Motorsports pan (click on oil pan link):

Anyone have any experience with this one?

EDIT:
Answered my own question here .
