Oil Pan Removal
ok, I'll chime in. It's a HUGE PITA. Only do it if you are in serious need of either a new pan or a new gasket. I just changed my gasket to a blue fel pro one and I had the heads, headers, and all that stuff off, and it was still super hard to do. I didn't lower the cross member or undo the motor mounts though, and that's the toughest way to do it. I am way to stubborn to remove the motor mounts or drop the k-member. Good luck and have plenty of cold beer ready.
P.S. What is your reason for wanting to do so? Leak? New canton pan perhaps?
edit: should have read your post better. How long? Well, it really depends on which method you go with. With all that stuff off it took me about 45 minutes to swap gaskets. Side note**put the gasket on from underneath. It's incredibly easy.
