oil leak z28
I have a question, I have a 1996 z28, recently had ported, polished heads, 525 cam lift, 1.6 roller rockers, and ported intake, haven't got under her yet but seems I have and oil leak could it been because was not reassembled correctly?

Re: oil leak z28
Check the front and rear of the intake manifold for oil. If there wasn't enough RTV on the front and rear, or if it wasn't given at least 24 hours to cure before running the engine, it may not have sealed properly.

Re: oil leak z28
OP
certainly if the engine was not "re-assembled" right there could be a oil leak as a result......but you need to be more specific as to where the leak is coming from.
more common sources of leaks are:
rear intake manifold. run your hand along the back of intake where it mates with block. if any oil you need to remove intake and install new gaskets AND RTV along the china wall front & rear AND let it cure for 24 hrs after install
water pump drive seal on timing cover, if installed wrong, will immediately leak.
there certainly can be other leak source so you need to find it. If you have ?'s as to what/how to repair whatever that discovery may be, post the ? specific to that.
