Oil Leak. Help!!!!!!!!

had my new motor in for 200 miles no leaks. car went to the body shop for a hit and run on the rear bumper(not major damage). now i picked it up and its leaking oil all over from the passenger side lower part of the motor. its seems to be leaking from right behind the passenger side motor mount. whats over there besides the oil dip stick that can leak?

Valve cover is the first thing that comes to mind. Could also be the rear intake manifold seal, dipstick, oil pan, rear main seal, timing cover seals, timing cover gasket, etc.

If you still can't figure it out, a dye kit would work wonders.

I've seen when an LT1 leaks oil it gets EVERYWHERE. So I wouldn't rule it out!

Can you post a pic?

Stick your hand behind the head on the passenger side. Move your hand around the back of the head, the intake, and down the block. Oily hand, probably the intake leak.

The power steering is on that side and has a plastic reservoir, that could have cracked in the accident. Might be worth checking.

Re: Oil Leak. Help!!!!!!!!

You may have to get some dye and a light and search for it that way. NAPA has the kits.
