Oil leak from EGR tube...

Is it possible for oil to leak from the EGR tube on the intake? I thought it was my manifold leaking, but it seems to be coming from the EGR tube. I took some pictures then cleaned it up real good, now after 2 days its starting to get gunk on it again right below the EGR tube again. It's kind of hard to tell. What do you guys think?? I'd hate to pull the intake if it's just leaking from the gasket for the EGR tube.

well in my limited knowledge of such things I would think of the PCV valve being stuck or maybe your rings are going south

I would check PCV first

There is no way for oil to get in or near the EGR tube. There are no oil passages in the intake manifold.

The common point for the intake manifold leak is right in front of the EGR riser tube, possibly because the heat from the tube causes the RTV to break down. Are you sure you don't have some sort of blowby problem, or a gummed up PCV valve as mentioned above, causing excessive crankcase pressures and blowing the oil out the intake manifold leak onto the EGR tube?

It's not the EGR valve, I checked it. If there is no way for oil to get by the EGR tube gasket it has to be coming from where the intake meets the heads. There is no oil on the back of the intake, it's gunking up on the top of the intake. Not enough to leave pulls of oil, but enough for it to get gunked up and I can smell burning oil after I drive the car. Does oil blow by the intake at the heads very often? I have a gasket set and I'm ready to pull it off and reseal it if needed. Just don't want to do it if I don't have to. I have pictures where you can see where the oil is gunking up if you think it may help to look at them.
