Oil Leak around front of block

My new engine has about 7k miles on it. I noticed oil on my carport last week. I put the car on a lift and found oil covered underneath the car. It looks like its coming from around the timing chain cover or around the opti. The opti is new, as is the water pump, starter, etc.. Any suggestions other than fix it? It only leaks about half a quart every 2-3 weeks.
thanks

Check the crank seal. Usally if you used the old crank hub, it has a ring worn into it. That ring is where the seal sits. The seal marked the crank. Its a very common proplen on sbc. Im pretty sure that they make a different design gasket for that now.

If you look where the fuel pump goes in there is 2 bolt holes in front of that and the top bolt hole goes inside the block. You MUST have a bolt in that hole if you have fuel injection. This bolt hole is loacated right in FRONT of where the fuel pump would be loacted.

The water pump seal is the most common oil leak on the front as it's a bit tricky to get on right. The oil runs down and gets the opti seal and crank seal wet, making them look like they're leaking. You can add dye to your oil and use a black light to see the source of your leak.

I am going to get the oil changed this week. I will have the mechanics take a look at it. It does look like the crank cover is seeping oil at the bottom. Thanks, I figured it was a common issue.

Timing cover seal leakes on almost all lt1 camaros that is most likely what it is, just did mine again. It does wear on it and make a groove this leaks.

Front of intake manifold, WP seal, opti seal, crank seal, timing cover against oil pan.

Pick one.
