Oil Leak?

I just bought a 95 z28, 37 original k's. I was under the car today and noticed that there is a oil leak in the front of the engine (from in the area) of the Opti, down. Was just wondering (with out looking at it) what could it be? I'm hoping its only a gasket or something but Was just wondering what I'm looking at here. I probably have someone to do it for me so there wont be any labor $ or shop costs. Thanks for any help, Justin

im gonna guess its probably from the front of the oil pan right below the timing chain cover. clean everything down and check that out.

The opti and water pump seals in the timing cover could be leaking, and it's fairly common. Those are relatively simple to replace yourself. You can start the car and get under it to determine whether those seals are leaking.
