runs down the front of the block... and on the sides.... possibl intake manifold gaskets????

 

It could be the front of the intake manifold, the timing cover or the opti/waterpump seals. Spray it down really well with brake cleaner and then run it to see where it's coming from. There is no gasket on the front of the intake, should just be RTV. The opti/wp use ring-type gaskets and the timing cover is just a paper gasket.

 

LT1 intake manifolds are notorious for leaking, easy fix though.
