Angry oil leak

i have a mysterious oil leak that is driving me insane. i thought it was the intake leaking,so i replaced the gasket. It still is leaking so it isnt that. My question is:what would be leaking when my car is just sitting without running? its not leaking alot, three drops over night. But i am just trying to figure out what could be leaking with out running the car. it cant be the valve covers causeit leaks without running. Any ideas?

first of all the only place the intake will leak there is no gasket for you must use rtv to make your own gasket

under the car can you see the oil leaking down and trace it up, i know on my car the oil level sensor was leaking

I feel your pain, man.

I have a leak that leaves spots, and worse, drips on the exhaust somewhere so I smell oil burning at stop lights and such.

I'm afraid it might be the rear main.

Is the spot that collects over night at the front, back, or middle of the motor? That might help in getting some suggestions as far as where to start looking.

reach your hand around the back of the motor and feel where the intake meets the block in the middle, if its wet pull the intake and re-seal that area with rtv

I got a GM oil level sensor for ~ 13 bucks.

Dude, I'm originally from Bowling Green. I graduated from Western and used to date a girl from Greenville. Small world.

what is it that accutually leaks oil from the oil pressure sensor, the part that goes into the block or the back of the plastic piece? im having a hell of a time trying to figure out where its coming from. i used a crap load of rtv when i did my intake oil leak. I am thinking its the sensor thats leaking and making me think its the intake leaking again.

they rarely leak where they screw in, usually leak through the sensor and out the plug, if you unplug the connector and it's wet, the sensor is leaking

is there any oil on the back of the engine?

intake/oil PSI sensor are not the only spots that will cause it to drip from the bellhousing

its leaking from the back of the intake and dripping down on the back of the oil pan and onto the bellhousing. my only other suspect parts are the valve covers and oil pressure sensor. i used alot of copper rtv when redoing the intake,so i think i got it right the first time im hoping. its wet and greasy on the back of the intake around where the sensor is.
