Oil leak

Not a whole bunch. Just a couple drops only after the car has been running. Seems to be dripping from the oil filter and maybe ONE drop comes off the tranny. I ran my hand behind the intake and did not get any oil or anything and could not see any oil while shining a flashlight towards the top of the oil filter. Where could this be coming from?

Re: Oil leak

the little pesky leaks are sometimes hard to find. My guess is it is the oil sending unit. BUT before swapping parts and what not you may be well ahead to buy a $20 UV dye kit to locate the leak. One of the best tools I have bought in a long time.

Re: Oil leak

wouldnt that leak all the time though. the car only leaks for a little bit after running..

and i have a 95. going by shoebox's site the sender is the back of the manifold save for the 93's and early 94's.

Re: Oil leak

that is why the UV dye kit may be the best way to track it down. Based on description and location of oil drops i say oil sender as it is pretty much above the oil filter area. May be worth a peak. UV dye is your friend!
check this picture and you will see what i mean.
