Oil Leak

well about 1 month ago maybe 1500 - 2000 miles ago, i changed my oil. i put an extra quart in because it was a quart and a half low the time before.

yesterday, i changed my oil... it was a 1/2 quart low

so after about 1500 miles its 3/2 Quart low.

thats a lot of leak

how much do u think it would cost to get all the seals replaced?
if i had someone else do it?

im debating geting an lt4 but i dont have the money but if this is gonna cost me like 2000$ to repair it better be a rebuilt lt4 engine.

First you need to clean everything up and see where the leaks are. Most likely ....intake maniflold, rear main, timing cover seals. All can be replaced by you for less than $150(thats including fluids). Its alot of work but you can attack one area at a time so the downtime is minimal.

I doubt you need to replace every seal...make sure your not burning it up...other than that just clean everything and try to track it down...

I agree, if its not burning oil there is probably just a seal that needs replacement. Iam on my second LT1 and my big leaks have been from opti seal, water pump drive, and rear of intake. If it is the water pump drive seal do a search on how to install it properly and leak will be gone, if installed wrong, bigger oil leak.
