When I did my head/cam swap, I got a set of .039 compressed thickness Felpro gaskets. Question: are these for SURE re-usable? They guy who is working of my motor doubts that any head gaskets are re-usable. And, not wanting to grenade my motor, he is uncomfortable re-using them. It is safe to re-use these or should I get a new set?

 

You could, but why? Head gaskets are NOT a "reusuable item"

 

2nd vote for new gaskets, wouldnt risk it, once they are tourqed in place they should not be reused.
