Oil Filter's... Which do you use?
Re: Oil Filter's... Which do you use?
Mobil (302??) I forget the # but its an oversized filter.
After spinning 2 rod bearings I don't mind putting a little extra oil in.
My builder told me not to run synthetic, so I have just stuck with Castrol 10w30. Change it often and things like thermal breakdown don't matter.

Some interesting reading.....

A lot of the data is 5 years old, so the specs on the filters, who actually makes them, etc. could have changed.

The Napa Racing / Wix filter (1060R at Napa)
One of the best filters out there. Definetely had an increase in oil pressure using this filter as well.

NAPA Gold 1794
I'm kind of partial to high volume filters after working at Farr Filter in the 1990's where we manufactured fuel / lube oil filters for EMD locomotive engines ect. I believe the model shown was ~ 10" x 44" if I remember right.

AA or Supertech filters. Both made by Champ Labs. Currently have about 8 AA's in 3 different sizes.
5 for the Efini MS-8, and 2 for the Nissan March I am picking up next month. 1 was for the GTP I sold in January.
