you oil filters should never even be on so tight to where you need a wrench to take them off. i just lube the gasket and put it on hand tight, that's the way i was taught, maybe that's just cause I'm so damn strong though ha! maybe it's just personal preference.

It's the one that comes in a sealed can. It has a larger capacity, extra long life, high flow rate, and high filtration rate.
The K&N has a high flow rate but low filtration rate.

Used to use nothing but Fram. Had one of my buddies (ASE Cert. Mechanic w/ over 10 years experience) tell me that fram filters arent near as good as competing manufacturers products, I switched to Wix with my new engine.

I was using Mobil 1 15W-50 and a Fram sure grip or whatever, as far as I know Mobil discontinued the filter for LT1 cars a while back, not even listed in the books at the autoparts place, just blank for 93-97 cars.
Just picked up a Fram Racing filter and know a few guys in the 9-10 second range that use them. Never had any problems with my original fram filters. I also change my oil, filter, and plugs every season. Even if I only go 2,000 miles this season or less I will still do it, with as hard on the car as I am its just peice of mind and cheap insurance.
Well not really cheap, $50 for plugs, oil, and filter....
