Oil or Dirty F'ing coolant system?

Pics of what remained in the bin after pouring it into the bottles, and one of the bottles.

Is this oil in my coolant? I flushed the coolant last november probably, maybe 4-5 thousand miles since then.

I have no idea, looks like one of the protein shakes I make every morning..

Guys; you have to copy and paste the URL into an already opened browser, geocities wont let you directly link.

Now hopefully you'll get an answer

Do you see little bubbles of oil on the surface of the coolant you pulled out? The stuff in the bucket looks like it is settled to the bottom (heavier than the H20 and coolant). If you cannot see oil pooling I'd guess its oxidized metals.

Yeah I think that stuff had settled, does that mean coolant is heavier than oil?

I believe so, since folks sometimes see oil when they remove the radiator cap. If it isn't floating, I doubt it's oil.

Alright thanks... I guess I'll just have to flush the coolant more frequently.

But then again I was sort of hoping I would have a reason to take my heads off and do a cam install

Well, you could take 'em off and scrub out your passages with a bottle brush to help clean them out
