Oil cap (not on)

what happens if u dont put the oil cap back on?

and if it's possible to damage anything what could it and how long would it take to damage it?

well if you dont have one of those extender deals then it will throw some oil out of the hole where it is supposed to go, but if you have one i dont thinkit would. other than gettin oil on the exhaust and smelling i dont think it would damage anythin??

k cause when i first got my car it didnt have the stock extender on it, and my buddy was searching around in my engine bay and found the original one all melted behind the engine.

just wondering if it would damage anything

dirt and debree could get in there, as long as you didnt have it off TOO long you should be ok

donno how long it could have been off... i took it to a shop once and the guy was certain he'd replaced my head gaskets before on my car, because of my rims (ugly things) he bought them off of me
