While I was under my car putting in clear corners, I noticed some oil around the front driver side plug. There is NO oil above this point, but was some on the outside of the plug and on the head and block underneath where the plug goes in the head. I took the plug out, no oil on the plug, not sure where this oil could possibly come from. Any ideas?

 

it sounds like it could be the front intake manifold gasket going bad.

 

Where does the intake usually leak from, the front or the back?

 

it is usually known to leak from the back, but it can leak in the front also. I have a front intake leak, but its not to bad.

 

What is weird is that there is NO oil above this point around the plug, just below it.

 

Maybe bad rings and loose plugs? Or too much antiseize that got dirty?

 

There is no oil on the part of the plug that is in the cylinder, only on the outside of the plug, none on the plug wire either. Runs fine, not sure where it came from, I guess I will try to clean it off and see if it comes back.

 

I have oil all over the last plug on the pass side... I believe my valve covers are leaking... 88k on the clock now.... More then likely, Just did the Intake leak bout 15k ago...
