Oil accumulator questions?

Did a search but was hoping for a little more info. w/ those that have run them.

-Are these reliable enough to run in a street car?

-Do the o-rings need to be replaced, often?

-Are certain brands better than others?

-Where are you pluming yours? I saw on accusump's website that they have a kit for our car's has anyone used it?

-Should I get the 2qt one or 3qt? Where are ya'll mounting yours?

-What kind of valve should I get (electric, manual)?

The car's going to be a daily driver/roadracer car that's why I'm seriously considering this.

thanks,
brandon

Matter of preference
1. Yes
2. No
3. Plump to relocation kit and the sump mounted up front of the IC or you can mount it in front of the radiator as long as it's not the 3 qt sump
4/5. I did electric and hot wired so I have + oil pressure before the car cranks

2qt will be iffy as to cold starts. I was looking at a 1gal one but mounting it would have been a *itch. Ya got to have enough oil to completely oil the engine for it to be of intended value.
I was looking at the Canton unit but decided on another way.Roller cam brgs and coated brgs for street/drag.

I'm running a 3qt. I didn't have luck w/ my last set of coated bearings so I shy away from them and went this route instead.

Re: Oil accumulator questions?

I thought about that but didn't know what was all required to do it. THAT is the best route hands down w/ a dry sump.
