oil ????
iam still doint getting oil puressur iam running 10w 40 could that be why? to thick? iam geting really tired of messing with this and i have way 2 much $$ in the valve train to mess it up. could there be air in the oil lines? when u took the oil gauge line off and started it nothing back out but when i turned the motor off it started coming out? would really like to get the cam broken in today so please help

update: i took the oil filter off cranked the motor over oil came out spilling out with alot of puressur so the pump is working that takes care of that but still not oil going through the oil puressur lines. i have a remont filter do you think the lines could be hooked up wrong the in gose to the in and the out gose to the out is that right?

My take on this: NO, it isn't the 10W40 oil causing your problem.
I recommend you go back to square one: Disconnect the oil the remote filter arrangement, convert back to stock and see if that solves the problem. If it does, then you'll KNOW the problem lies with the remote filter setup.

update. got oil puerssur good puressur to around 50psi and gose up 2 it ended up being the lines for the filter my dad installed it and he said he did it the right way but i think he had a little to many beers and was not paying attention but swaped the lines around cranked it a few times and got puressur. had the car running for about 10min beaking in the cam and oil puressur stayed at around 50-55psi with it at about 2000-2500rpms had to shut it off tho my temp gauge was not working and did want to risk it i know it was not getting hot but i have alot of $ in the motor. thing sounds sweet with just a little push of the throttle it sounds like it was it go. but i need to fix the water temp gauge and buy some header wrap so i dont burn the wires. its hard to fit all those wires in the engine compartment of the chevelle but ill get it done will try and post some pics and vid once i get the cam broken it all the way.
thanks for all you help
