Oh crap......put dash in and speedo doesn't work?!?!

Hey guys, got a quick question. I removed my dash to paint it, and now I have everything back together, but the speedometer doesn't work. Everything else does though, tach, temp, oil pres, voltmeter.

Did I forgot to hook something up, like is there a seperate wire for the speedo?

Also, when I had it out, it somehow got up to 160mph or however high it goes, so I held it seideways till it went back to 0. Does this have anything to do with my problem? Thanks

check the speedo needle. it could've jumped off a bit. i took my cluster out to install white face guages on my old 93 Z and when i put the cluster back in and went down the road, i noticed my speedo didnt move at all. took the cluster back out and the needle was slightly out. i pushed it back in wih some force and it was ll back to normal. good luck.

I might try that, but I never actually had the cover off the gauges, but maybe it just got knocked loose from floating around the garage for a while.

I could only get up to about 10mph to try it out, since the car was still in the garage. Any other ideas?
