I can't envision the '94 right here, but you've got an O2 sensor that plugs in upstream of the cat. It still needs to be there if you remove the cat.

I am not possitive but i have a 94 and the o2 sensors are in front of the cat(you have the 1 cat system) and the o2 sensors will not be affected by removing the cat. No service engine soon light should come on either.

On the 94's there isnt anything that plugs into the cat. There are 2 O2 sensors, one on each side of the Y pipe, but that should be it. Are you changing the Y pipe as well?

my first thought was ....there isn't anything that plugs into the cat...

then i was thinking...do the 94's have an air tube that goes into the cat? or was that eliminated by the air tubes on the manifolds?

i know my 87 iroc had an air tube ON the cat...just a thought...

Not unless its an aftermarket cat. Most of the aftermarket/universal cats have the air tube, but you can just cap them if you dont need it.
