OEM vs. Aftermarket Fuel Pump

My fuel pump is starting to go and I was hoping to go with a racetronix or walboro Fuel Pump.

I did a search and I read here and there about the install.

Unfortunately I don't have the time so I was wondering how hard is the install and soemthing about the "fuel bucket"??

If I get the OEM Pump, it's a direct exchange, so it's nice and simple.

Is that much of a diffrence??

Also, where can I find good prices on the fuel pumps??

THANKS!!!

There is a video there of how to install a fuel pump into an f-body.

Go Walbro, I did And it provides much better pressure and is a higher volume. Also it's cheaper than the OEM. The OEM @ my local dealer was over $200, I think I paid $110 including shipping & tax for my Walbro.

hope this helps.

Is a fuel pump even necessary for 30# injectors? That's what I'm planning on going with and was just curious....
I believe that the stock pump will work fine for the 30#'ers but I just want to make sure...

Thanks

IMO- the stock fuel pump isnt enough for even the stock injectors! Change it out, especially if you have over 100K on the car!

Old one has done its duty, time for a new high volume/pressure unit. Oh and done forget the adjustable fuel pressure regulator (if you dont already have one that is).

Once again just my opinion!

The 255L high pressure pump assembly is available for $149.99 as well.

Thunder Racing should have more in stock (soon).
