I just got done with a Longtube install. I got everything together but as soon as I go to hook up the battery the car start cranking. It never starts because the key isnt turned. As soon as I take off the battery cable it stops. Any ideas?

 

You miswired the starter.

You have two posts and a solenoid; figure it out. If you can't, pm and we'll fix it together.

 

i dont think its misswired, there are 2 posts. one big one with the power from the battery and a smaller one for the ignition wire, they are both hooked up correctly. im beginning to think the solenoid itself is grounding out internally

 

Found the problem. The soleniod must have stuck. I smacked it a few times with a hammer and it acted normally.
