The purge solenoid is on a bracket on the passenger side of the intake manifold. There is a hose that goes to a vacuum sensor on the side of the engine, and from there into the connection on the side of the throttle body. If you are getting flow during non-purge, could be the solenoid is stuck open, there is a leak in one of the hoses between the solenoid and the throttle body, or the vacuum sensor is bad. I have also seen a few posts in the past where all of this was replaced and didn't solve the problem....

p1441 code

I've been having trouble with the p1441 code too. i changed the canister and it did nothing except make the code wait longer before coming on again. talk about mifted. anyway my next course of action is to change the solenoid and the valve and hope for the best

The code is for "Flow During Non-Purge." It is extremely unlikely that the cannister would cause that problem, so replacing it wasn't the best thing to do. Read my previous answer.
