OBDII Scanner software???

I have freescan and a cable. Can I scan an OBDII car for SES codes and clear them? That's all I need to do, and I think I remember scanning my car before I swapped the OBDI computer in it.

Anybody know this one?

Freescan will not do OBD2. The cheapest solution I know of for OBD2 is Harbor Freight offers a scanner for $40 I believe all it does is trouble codes not live data like freescan can.

if you have an OBDI computer in there, then cant you still scan it with the cable and freescan? did you mean you have the OBDI conversion?

Can I clear the codes by pulling the PCM fuse or disconnecting the battery then?

Re: OBDII Scanner software???

Just unplug the negative battery terminal for 5 minutes. That will clear it

You can also buy a scanner that will pull and clear obdII codes for 28 bucks at autozone

I find it easier to remove the PCM BAT fuse for about 30 seconds and it does not bother your radio presets.

Re: OBDII Scanner software???

Try www.obd-2.com or www.efilive.com

EFI Live OBDII version 5 is really for the LS1 engine but works wonderfully well for almost all the LT1/4 parameters (I haven't got the version 6 to work properly yet). The interface is wonderful.

The OBD2 software will log practically all OBDII equipped cars with most manufacturer specific functions as well. The interface is not as pretty but works great.

I use both along with LT1 Edit.
