Angry OBDII to OBDI swap, 96 Corvette!!! VATS ISSUE!!!!

Long story short, Car runs for 1-3 seconds and the vats Kills it. Want to get the car running in the meantime untill bryan from PCM for less gets us the correct PCM, seen a few diffrent thoughts for what it takes to make it work,

Its the correct key, with the proper chip in perfect condition,

its killing the injectors.

what resisters do we need where does it need to go? this is a 96 C.E. Corvette so where would this stuff be located in the dash?

Thanks in advance.

Vats usually does not kill the car once it's started. It usually prevents it from starting. Seems as though you have a different problem. Sounds like your fuel pump is cutting out. Have you checked the fuel pressure during the problem?

The resistor you speak about is the same value as the pellet in the correct ignition key. Measure it with an ohm meter, then buy the same value within 10% at Radio Shack. At the base of the steering wheel is a 2 pin connector from the sensor in the lock. In a Camaro, I believe it has an orange overwrap but I'm not formiliar with the Y body. Unplug it and put the resistor in the connector that goes to the pcm one end in one contact and the other end in the other contact. Then wrap it with electrical tape.

This will only bypass the key pellet sensor. But I doubt it will help you since your key works and the car starts. Are you getting a flashing security light? Sorry I don't know the gages that are in the Vette.

From: Coal Valley, IL,
There are a couple ways the VATS can come into effect, im also pretty sure of this cause 5 minutes before, the car started and ran fine with the OBDII computer in it....and yes we have all the stuff to do the swap correctly.
