inline fuel pump flowing through stocker?

Are the stock fuel pumps free flow....meaning if I install an inline pump will it just be held up by the stockers inability to flow..are will it just suck what I need through the stocker as it works too. I am wanting to know if an inline is just a back up pump if the stocker dies are since it flows more than the stocker will it flow its potential through the stocker. I am wondering cuz I have one sitting around ,and would be easier than the intank swap for now.

If you are going to do a fuel system then I would recommend doing it the right way. That means do not try compensating for a stock fuel pump by throwing on a inline fuel pump. It will not work properly. My recommendation would be a Walbro 255 lph intank pump.
