OBD2 scan programs
Honestly the best/cheapest option would be to convert to OBD1.
There are no free scanner programs for OBD2 that I know of.
Auto X-Ray is one you could buy... but it leaves a lot to be desired. Autotap is better for tuning.
If you ever plan on doing your own tuning, LT1 edit is your only option for OBD2, it costs almost twice as much as LT1 edit for OBD1, and there's not much tech support out there for it. Agian, I'd say it would be in your best interest to go ahead and convert to OBD1, where there is PLEANTY of tuning info available, you can utilize free scanning software, and have the option of buying either LT1 edit or Tunercat for programming.
Personally, I'd reccomend tunercat.
Best of luck.

I'm definitely not converting to OBD1...I already have a madwolf PCM tune, and I'm not paying all that money for no gains. All I want is a scanner to monitor my engine...and I don't plan on getting LT1_Edit...
I don't know of any free for ODB2. If efilive is that is news that I am not aware of.
But for a pretty inexpensive and good ODB2 scan software....check out
http://www.odb-2.com
I have this and it really good scanner software.
I have since converted to ODB1 for cheaper programming and scanning software.
