Obd2-obd1 cps

Ok guys what I would like to do.
I have a 96 T/A and I would like to convert it to OBD1.

It is my understanding that I need a 16188051 PCM.
This is the 94-95 OBD1 PCM.

My question is my 96 has a crank position sensor
and it is my understanding that the 94-95 OBD1 cars do not have a CPS.

I know it will work because I read about the swap all the time but this is never mentioned.

What do I do with the CPS?
Leave it plugged up or unplug it?

I plan on using TunerCat to tune with after the swap
FYI.

Thanks for your time
Chris

You don't have to do anything with the sensor. The OBD-I PCM will not know it is even there and won't care that it is. You can just leave it be.

http://chevythunder.com/lt1_electrical_page.htm This site is saying that the 16188051 ECM come with different knock sensor modules.
Depending on the module it could be set up for dual or single knock sensors.

http://carputing.tripod.com/OBDII_to...Conversion.htm
This site is saying to just use the knock sensor part# 10456126
with no mention of a module # other than the LT4 if you what to
run the LT4 module and sensor.

My ECM Knock sensor module part # is 16188309.
According the first site link I posted I have a dual knock sensor
module.

The #'s on my module appear like this on the module.
The top # matches one listed on the site.
The bottom don't come up anywhere but I'm posting it
if some one needs it to help me.
16188309
1084139

What knock sensor part# do I need, dual or single?

Chris
