OBD2 Engine and OBD1 Computer

I have a quick question. I have a 97 LT1 engine that I'm swapping into a 67 C-10. I have the opportunity to horse trade for a harness/PCM and 4L60E out of a 94Z28 (OBD1). Is there anything I will have to do to get everything to work together? I know the knock sensor is different, but is that it? I don't have to screw with the CPS because OBD1 doesn't recognize it. Will running a vented OBD2 Opti be a problem? Are the Opti plugs different from a 94 to 97? Are there electrical plugs on the 94 harness that won't be used or will there just be sensors on the 97 engine that won't be plugged in?

Thanks!

The harness connector on a vented Opti is different than the one on an unvented Opti. The replacement part fills the gap between the gray connector on the bracket on the side of the intake manifold and the Opti.

The 97 will have a connection for a vacuum detector switch for the EVAP on the passenger side valve cover. 94 harness will not have a connection. You're probably not using EVAP.

97 will have wiring and vacuum for the AIR pump and purge valve, 94 will not. Not likley you would be keeping the AIR system anyway.

The 97 EGR valve may have problems with backpressure, causing a diagnostic code with the 94 PCM, but its not likely you're going to be running EGR either.

You've already picked up on the knock sensor difference.

Thanks for the info Injuneer and the link Slowride. I guess the only thing I have to do is get the opti harness from Casper, are they still in business?, opti vent lines, and a new knock sensor. OBD1 harness/PCM will control the '94 4L60E just fine so no issues there. The grey connector on the engine harness is the same from 94-97, it's just the opti side that's different?

Just the opti end is different. http://www.eficonnection.com/eficonn..._pigtails.aspx also sells an opti harness.
