Your car will run fine with the new cam if everything is set up right, however, until you get it programmed it won't run at it's full potential. When i changed my cam I ran a w/o programming. With pcmforless i ran a 12.9. The programming was set up to pull some timing because i was spraying so I could have more power n/a if I had advanced the timing... so basically if I were you the next 150 bucs i had would go to programming.

Hey LT1CST I have a OBD1 PCM that I can't use anymore (I use a different PCM now) This PCM is tuned BY PCM for less. I can sell you this PCM and for like $20 bucks you can send it to Bryan at PCM for less to RETUNE THE PCM for your cam and other MODs.
The reason you wont get charged for the regular $275 pricing is because this PCM has already been done and you can get it reprogrammed for your car.
You can probably can around 15-20RWHP out of just the PCM since you have a cam.

Here check out the website.

Let me know if you want to buy my PCM and I will sell it to you cheap. Thanks T/A KID

I had the Hypertech and it completely sucked. Might be good for a stock car though but other than that.... having a cam with a cam in it needs to be tuned right I would think. Call Bryan at pcmforless and get things going with him and you will be set. Will those springs and rockers hold up with that size cam?

good luck

At one time, years back, I had a Hypertech unit for my '94. When I got my heds and cam it was less expensive to buy the Hypertech heads and Cam module for it. That was a big mistake. The car slowed down dignificantly with their programming.

I removed the Hypertech stuff and got a mail order tune which was much better. The best way is to get a dyno tune from someone who knows how to program, but most of the established mail order tuners will offer a decent improvement over stock tuning.

I'm with TNTHUB......I had the exactsame setup with the hypertech programmer and chip.....I went with Brians tune...Much better feel.....Better idle ......Brian is well worth it compared to the hypertech from my experience
