what does this mean, what's the difference , thanks

OBD 1 PCM's came in 95 and earlier LT1's...OBD 2 PCM's came in 96 and later LT1's and LS1's...

They are the main "brain" of the car...

OBD1 is the computer used in 93-95 cars. OBD2 is in 96 up cars. Basically the only difference from what I know is a different knock sensor, and some programming differences I think.

OBDI is older = 93-95
OBDII is newer = 96-

OBDI > OBDII

One cool thing about the OBD 2 is that you can program your fans to run an extra couple of minutes even after your car is shut off in order to cool your engine...

Aside from that the OBD 1 is preferred...only you may run into problems when you get a 3200+ stall converter...
