ob1 obII

Will i see any improvment if i switch my comp to OBI. Whats the big diff, if any

No you wont. The advantage to going OBDI is the software is cheaper for tuning and scanmasters will pull DTCs. There may be a few other minor things but thats all I can think of off the top of my head.

At this point easier to tune the pcm yourself and you loose the rear 2 o2's so if you want to do headers or whatnot. Some people claim and i say claim, an odb1 conversion is worth 5-8 horsepower. I converted mine purely out of needing the ability to do mail order tunes, tune myself, or scan myself with free software.

I have seen some tuners claim a slight HP advantage to OBD1 but mainly the swap is done for the much cheaper tuning and logging software. That is why I did it and helped a local with a '97SS do it.
