o2 sim ?

For a few months now i have been having problems with my passenger side o2 sim. It went bad and i replaced it again only to have it go bad again. I thought the problem may be the harness coming from the motor. So at this point i switched my sim from the drivers side to the passenger side. Now the code has followed sim, so its not in the harness. The o2 sim on the passenger side is pretty close to the header, is it possible the heat is killing them? I think that may be the problem. If that is the problem what can i do to protect them from the heat

Re: o2 sim ?

Why do you have to keep the sims located right next to the hot exhaust? Why not move them away from the heat altogether?

I have tried to move them but the seem stuck, ill have to make sure they are not wired tied up or anything(I didnt install them). but thats the only thing i can think of that would cause them to consistantly go bad on that side

Re: o2 sim ?

I just secured my sim. away from the header with some zip ties, it hasn't caused any problems.
