I have a 96 Trans am, M6.

I'm looking at getting a pair of O2 sims for when my headers arrive and now I find out theres 2 types...both the same from what I can see other than the connector...which ones do I need?

Wheres a good spot to get O2 extenders? I think I need those too.

The flat connectors are for the pre-cat O2's and the square are for the post-cat. You can not use the simulators on the pre-cat O2's(flat connector) cause the computer wont have anything to adjust the fuel mixture with. I guess this is the answer you are looking for, or maybe I am retarded

O2 extenders for pre cat, O2 sims for post cat which would be the square connectors.

any word on where to shop for O2 sensor extenders?

you really shouldnt need the extentions. you will have to move the wires around a bit to reach but they will reach.

 

what length should I get for the extenders? 12", 24", or 36"?

as you can tell i've never done headers before

you dont need them but if you must i would say that 12" would be plenty long.

 

MAC Headers, for a single cat car, i have a dual cat.

I know I have to get an S-pipe or something.

 

So is it DEFINITE I don't need O2 extenders for this setup?

also, can i route my plug wires in their stock location, or does that have to go too?
