Where do I begin. . . I'll start simple. . .

ELECTRICAL
More specifically the alternator doesn't seem to be charging the battery but I can't tell if its the alternator itself or if its a bad connection to the battery. I've installed 0 gauge primary wires off the battery and 4 gauge wires running to the grounds, starter, and alternator. I wouldn't think changing the wire would cause a problem. In fact wouldn't a better wire be, well, better? The car runs but the juice reading on the voltameter drops as the battery drains but the car never dies (or perhaps I haven't had it running long enough to see). Any suggestions on this?

COOLANT
My temperature gauge isn't budging after the car warms up. I replaced the thermostat, nothing. Checking the hoses I find the main return line from the pump to the radiator is solid like a rock. But the day after when the car was cooled down I turned on the pump (electric) and held the hose and it felt like fluid wasn't moving through it. I refilled the coolant system via the service manual instructions. I don't know what could be wrong, i never ran into a coolant problem before. I haven't checked the resistance on the temp sender on the head and check the voltage on the wires to that sender and to the one on the pump itself and they both seem fine. I don't know what could it be because the coolant does indeed get hot but the gauge isn't reading and that bothers me. Any suggestions?

FUEL
After the car runs, whether it be awhile or just for 10 minutes, the intake seems to bellow out what appears to be exhaust Its not that a rock arm is too tight I know that much but is there anything else that could cause this? My fuel pressure spiked to 60psi so i turned it down, so I thought, but it was still at 60psi again, Keep in mind, i do intend on attempting to adjust the fuel pressure again when I have time and when its not night time and the loud exhaust pisses off the neighbors again when it wakes their kids , but could this solely be the cause or should i be looking deeper?

 

Have your alternator tested.

Take the connector off the sensor in the head and ground the wire. See if what your gauge reads.


Not sure what you mean about what the intake is doing. Get your fuel pressure to where is it supposed to be.

 

Did this, the gauge spikes all the way. I tested the resistance on the temp sender and its about 5850ohm, tested this against one in a spare head and it was close to the same.

Gonna hafta charge my battery since its dead and test the resistance while the car is running. Is there any other suggestions why the gauge isn't picking up?

 

I would say your sender is broken.
