Well I have the engine all torn down to the block and notice in the front under the drivers side freeze plug cast into the block is this:

327


just like that.....WTF?? My dad says on the front of his old 327 block that is what it said?? I am not the original owner of the car, and I can tell it has been torn down before....Whats up with this?

 

im pretty sure that they all say that on them.. i know mine says 327, not sure about the G-3 though, but I think so.

 

Mine says it too take a look at shoeboxes website, it shows you were to look for vin info on the block.

Not sure about the G3 though...

 

327 is like the last three digits of the original part number for the engine or block and is cast numerous places on the block exterior.
