Now that OBDI conversion is complete how do I read codes

My SES light has been burnt out since I got the car. Now that the OBD1 conversion is complete how do I read the codes. I have a OBDII code reader, but that is usless now.

if you have a laptop you can use freescan or other programs to read it, assuming you'd have an interface wire as well.

Thanks I have been thinking about getting a cable from http://www.akmcables.com so it looks like thats what I'll do.
