Not Fair!!!!!!!
How was the inside of your intake?? any coolant in there, was it by certain ports or just full of coolant or dry??? I cant see how both headers would have coolant in em and the head-gaskets are both ok
lol ok guys,
good news amd bad news :
good- the port work was great on the heads, its not lloyds fault and the gaskets were good as were the re useable head bolts from combo.
bad- a small bolt form the fuel rail was knocked off the cowl onto the mating surface of the block and cylinder head.. i didnt see it and it was only a matter of time till the pressures blew the gasket out. gonna re weld the head and put my new 355 in... i dont trust the block deck on my old motor now!!!
i have pics if anyone wants them IM me on aol at

simple yet costly mistake....
lesson learned is:
make sure your area is clear of little things like bolts on top of your cowl!!!!!

its 3:48 am and i have finished everything for tonight.
ryan came over with the labatts and we got started...
it took us 3 hours to pull the motor out with the transmission attached. thats jackings the car up... disconnecting everything and pulling it out.
i had it down to the short block before he came over!!
then ryan passed out on the lawn and i kept working... assembling the engine stand... then pulling the tranny off the engine... then getting the engine on the stand.
what a night... i looked at the # 7 piston.... ended up finding some cracks and marks form the fuel rail bolt!!!!
i checked the bolt out... threads are still good... gonna use it again!!!
cool shnizt
