Angry Not Fair!!!!!!!

hey guys,

was taking my car outta the garage.... it didnt feel like starting... so i cranked it oer a couple times.... then it started with a clank...... then i blew a head gasket and bent or spun something...


and just finished everything on my motor last month......

Dude, I feel for ya. You said you just finished everything last month.......I'd start going over what/how you did things to see if you missed something.

well for the past 5 hours...

-cleaned the garage
-organized 3 tool sets
-washed the floor
-pulled everything but the heads and trans

when i dropped the oil, i could tell there was alot of coolant in it.... it looked green and my LT's had coolant pouring out of them!!

how come this happened... i wanna pull the heads... but i'm to tired

On a brand new motor...........too much compression maybe???

DAMN... THAT SUCKS.... Seems like too much compression to me. Who did the heads?

lloyd elloit did th heads... this isnt a new motor..... heasda and cam swap onto a 120k LT1. i had cams in it before... last was a 224/230... this cam now is GM847.


i'll pull the heads tongiht

pulled the cylinder heads.... gaskets were fine!!!! no holes or blow out marks...

cylinder head bolts were at 67 lbs..

i hate to say this... but i think its my heads!!!

see if you can see any holes in the runners anywhere, where coolant could have passed thru because of too much material being removed

crck in one of the heads, or maybe there was alot of core shift in your head and with the porting something got too thin??? your gonna have to go over the heads with a fine tooth comb, and maybe a magnifying glass. Was there coolant in both headers??? that seems weird. Alot of coolant in both headers seems almost impossible unless the coolant got sucked in throught the throttle body somehow? Is the Tbody bypassed?? Very weird.
