Northeast Speed Density Guys

I'm working with the Chip guy for PCM For Less right now on setting up a "dyno tune" day for those of us with chips. It's going to be at a dyno in South Eastern PA, I'm looking at a couple of places right now. We're trying to set up something for late May or June sometime.

What I need to know is if anyone is interested. I've gotten a couple of bites off the NJ F-Body website, and thought I'd put a feeler out here.

Also, if there's enough interest, Alvin (chip guy) is saying that Bryan (PCM for less tuner) may be interested too.

So who's interested???

I'm working on pricing over the next couple of days.

Ok, here's the info:

Alvin posted this on the speed density board:

I came up with a tentitive pricing (for chip customers). NOTE These prices Do not include what the dyno operator charges

All events will be as follows

Number of cars, Old PCMFORLESS customer, New Customer

3 Cars, $300, $350
4 Cars, $250, $300
5 Cars, $225, $275
7+ Cars, $200, $250

These prices are for all vehicles who use chips for programming

I hope that you find these prices resonable. I'm stuck between trying to offer an affordible price for everyone, the travel and housing expenses, and the fact that most other tuners charge in excess of $500 for dyno tuning.

I hope that we can also lure some old customers in. I'd like to get every last HP out of everyones car.

Looks like it's going to be at Xotic Motorsports, I have to call them to confirm a date. More to follow on that, but a date is expected by the end of this week.

Figure on the above pricing plus the cost of renting the dyno for the day to be split up between how many cars show.

This is going to happen sometime between May 9th and 27th. Right now, there seems to be a lot of positive feedback on doing this on a weekday, as that will drastically lower the price of the dyno.

What I need is a preference, weekday or weekend, and how many people are genuinely interested.

12SCNDZ, I'm already counting you in on this, so let me know for sure.

Email chips@pcmforless.com and ask. Alvin picked up something like 30 at the wheels on a stock vette a while back I think.

Here's the link to the post on the OLD board: http://pub60.ezboard.com/fspeeddensi...icID=100.topic

If that's not proof I don't know what is.

Here's the info:

It's going to be on Friday May 14th for right now. Reason it's on a friday is that I got the dyno rented for 10 hours for $600 bucks. That's a KILLER deal. Should be around $300-350 per person depending on previous customer status with Alvin.

We have some flexibility with the day, but it's definitely going to be on a weekday. That price just can't be beat. Take a day off, save some money, and get a dyno tune. Alvin is going to require a pre-payment, I haven't worked out the pre-payment of 50% required for the official reservation yet, but once we have some confirmations, I'll come up with something.

Who's interested?? Just let me know, pre pay, and you're there.

Bump. There's got to be some interest in this. Dyno Tune days hardly ever happen if you've got a chip in the car.

Bump

Also, this is for 94+ now too. Bryan from PCM For Less will be there, charging $200 for LT1's and $300 for LS1's, dyno pricing to remain the same.
