(non-camaro)OBDII codes for tranny

I apologize for this but I think there is a wealth of knowledge here and wish to tap it. My 97 Dodge intrepid 3.5L acted up yesterday. 3rd and 4th slip out and I get the codes for that(P0733, P0734). I also get code P0700(Transmission control system malfunction).

My question would be is this last code caused by the other 2 or visa versa? In other words, am I looking at an engine rebuild or fixing this TCSM thing?

This is the first problem I've had with this car so I'm not too up on all the OBDII stuff.

Again, I apologize for the non-camaro issue

before a mod moves this, LT1/LT4 tech is the wrong place for this, will probably go to the lounge

P0700 is most likely caused by the other 2(P0733 and P0734)
your problem is likely caused by a internal failure, likely effecting the OD clutch/hub or the engagemnt therof

I have not seen failures of the OD hub perfonally, so hopefully its a clutch wear issue

do consider the dealer when looking for a repair shop, I used to work at one that charged $1600 across the board for a overhaul, see if you can get a estimate from them for a regular "soft part" overhaul, be aware that this might go up if it needs hard parts(OD hub, ect...)

Do NOT post stuff like this in a busy forum like LT1/LT4 Engine Tech..... it forces legitimate questions off the bottom of the page faster, and cheats the people who are trying to play by the rules. And.... this is "engine" tech, not "drivetrain" tech.
