noise in car audio after plugs and wires
noise in car audio after plugs and wires
I'm getting a clipping noise / static after new plugs (ngk tr55) and wires (napa 7mm). Noise with or with out engine running and with radio and cd playing. Please help after doing the plugs and wires I would like to listen to some music to relax.
Re: noise in car audio after plugs and wires
check your battery cable positive connection for corrosion. clean as needed.
if still have noise problems, get battery and alt tested, and check for any loose ground wires.

Re: noise in car audio after plugs and wires
Check your ground from the radio, in fact check all the ground wires. especially the ones near the red junction box. If it is a tick tick sound when the car is running (what I had) then you should be worried about a plug wire grounding to te car.
Re: noise in car audio after plugs and wires
Your gona have to elaborate on this one. As I understand it, you changed the plugs and wires only and your radio now has noise even when the engine is NOT running????? is this correct? So alternator and all the ignition components are now out of the picture.
Do you have some sort of aftermarket radio equipment?

Plugs gapped correctly? No fireworks in the dark? Check if boots are sitting tight on opti and plugs. Some wires produce more interference, but it's strange that it happens while playing CD's.
