Cool Re: NO spark z28 Please help

Update, finally got it running, problem? Well you guys hit it on the head when you were coming at me about putting on the opti, but I wasnt wrong either. I was putting it on correctly, the problem was whoever had the car before me put the splines in the cam wrong by ONE TOOTH!!! lol, i pulled out the cam gear and hammered it out, reinstalled correctly and shes running like a champ, Thanks guys for all your help and patients.

Re: NO spark z28 Please help

There are no "splines in the cam". The splines are formed into the powder metallurgy cam sprocket. But somehow you hammered the splines out of the cam?

Re: NO spark z28 Please help

You hammered what out of the cam sprocket? The cam sprocket is a single piece? How did you determine that the splines in the sprocket were "wrong by one tooth"? How did you remove the splines? How did you know the correct orientiation to reinstall the splines?

Let this thread die. You're just prolonging it.

As far as I'm concerned, this is a troll, and nothing else. Another thread like this and the account won't be active much longer. It's a shame that many of us fell for his BS and wasted out time.
