I still have no spark after doing all tests for opti and coil i have replaced opti with 3 different opti one i know for sure works on another car. 2 brand new coils and 2 brand new icm. I have tested the wiring at the icm. everything reads to what shbox says it should including the white wire which is average 2.5 v ac.

The only things that i can think of not working right are: neutral safety switch, i changed to a B&M hammer shifter around the same time the problem started.

Also i have an aftermarket alarm could this cause no spark even if im getting the 2.5v ac to the icm???

And I have a bypass for the security system there is no security light on but i am also wondering about this causing some problems as well....

I really wanna get this car on the road asap i appreciate any info.

 

The neutal safety switch can be tested easily, just use a paper clip in place of the switch. Are you POSITIVE you have all grounds in place? Actually

If you have 2.5 v AC thats to the connector, the only thing between the connector and the coil is the ICM. Have you tried changing that out with a known working one? Thats the only thing it could be!

 

that's the same thing i am thinking, not sure if i wanna borrow one form someone incase my car is shorting them out or something.

 

Well after getting 2 icm's from part source i got a third from napa and it fired up right away.
