New 97 Z28 Exhaust(with pics).
New 97 Z28 Exhaust(with pics).
Well, finally got the exhaust i've been dreaming of. I have Pacesetter long tube 3" outlet headers, fiberglass wrapped with AIR and EGR installed and functioning. Straight off the headers, I have Doug's headers 3" cutouts, with QTP(quick time performance) electric 3" cutouts. After the cut-outs into magnaflow high flow 3" cats, into a custom sweet thunder X-pipe, into two sweet thunder 18" mufflers. From there, up over the axle on the passenger side, into two 4x18" chrome tips, rolled edge. This thing is deep, loud, and nasty. I love every second of it. Then, you open the cutouts and watch out!! Muscle car all the way!! Here is the photobucket link, there are 11 photos. What do you guys think?

I have about 3" of clearance from the ground to the bottom of the cutout. The car is also lowered with bilstein shocks and struts, and eibach springs. It doesn't rub on everything, but you do have to watch where you drive it. Nothing like opening those cutouts and seeing the woman in the car next to us asking her husband "is that noise coming from that car next to us" LOL.
I got after we put our headers on we went ahead and put 3 inch stainless steel magnaflow all the way back from the headers and i love every the way it sounds everytime it gets gas its pretty damn intimidating. lol

Re: New 97 Z28 Exhaust(with pics).
I have about 3 to 4 inches of ground clear at the cat converter, cuz its an aftermarket from magnaflow it didnt follow the original route of the under body so the entire exhaust hangs alot lower and suck because i cant get over speed buts with out lookin like a ricer going over the speed bumps side ways.
im all american muscle i dont like lookin like a ricer
