No spark after cam install

I just finished up my cc305 install and when I got it all back together, it will turn over but wont fire. I unhooked a spark plug wire to see if it had any spark and it did not. I also did the same thing with the coil wire and nothing there either. I did shoebox's Opti and Sprk test and everything tested ok there. What else could it be? Coil and coil wire are brnad new. I thought it could be the IMC but the test proved otherwise. I am in the process of pulling the opti back off and giving it another shot. Is there anything else I should look for??? Thanks

Bo

check the connector to the opti make sure it's tight and on properly, also check to make sure you reconnected the ground at the coil e.t.c. just recheck your connections

Wink

Why don't you just run that yellow POS off a cliff, sorry forgot that there isn't any cliffs near you.

Aren't you actually posting incorrect information though. I was under the impression that we didn't get proper AC Voltage from the PCM when we checked. In other words no signal from the PCM to fire the coil

I thought the test proved positive with the IMC connector reading @ 12 volts or so. We did get no AC Voltage but I thought you said that had to do with something else. I guess I misunderstood ya

This is where we are at: (If we did the test correctly)

The ECM isn't sending the signal to fire the coil. This is caused by:

1. Opti not sending High Resolution Pulse to ECM
2. Faulty wiring Opti to ECM or ECM to Coil
3. Faulty ECM.

Opti is brand new and unless there is some way after the cam install for the opti to not be turning we should get some fire.

Found the problem. I bought a new timing set from Cmotorsports and they sent me the wrong cam gear(95+). Its as much of my fault as it is theirs because I didnt specify but they are making it right and sending me one out as we speak. I guess that would explain why there was no signal coming from the opti wouldnt it
