no power for a second or so

ok guys and gals i was driving my fc yesterday and it was fine until it got to temp. if i floor it, the car is fine. but if i am at low rpms just cruising and then i step on it the car seems like it has no power for a second and it sounds like its miss firing a little but then it goes. i also discovered that my exhaust manifold gasket has a small tear on it and exhaust is getting out from there. it only does it when i need to power for example in 4th or 5th gear and i am going up a hill or something and i step on it not a lot just enough to get me up the hill and it hesitates some but if i drop it to 3rd or 2nd and step on it its fine. think the exhaust manifold gasket is the cause of this problem or is there something else? i have tuner cat for my car but i can't seem to figure out where to find the error codes with tuner cat. does anyone else have any software i can use to see if i have any error codes?

Check the rubber intake elbow for tears, or the bottom edge being folded under and not on the throttle body.

Exhaust leaks cause your engine to run rich.

the intake elbow is alum i did check all that tho i did learn that if the intake is not on right you will get problems. i ordered my gasket from the local shop it should be here tomorrow. besides that i have no problems that i can find. and i took the car out with the computer hooked up to it and i watched it moving around and still no engine codes. any other ideas?

well i was thinking with the exhaust leak maybe an o2 issue. however, check all your plug wires, i hada similar problem and a plug wire was not on all the way.

i checked and triple checked my plug wires and they are all find i even checked each spark plug and still look brand new being that they only have about 12 mins of run time on them. it still does it and no codes still. i was thinking about logging into my pcm and turning off my o2 sensors and run it around the block a few times and see if it makes a difference then i know i need to change my o2 sensors
