ok a few key questions how long did it run when it happened also were you running it hard when it happened.If you shut it off as soon as you heard it then you might be safe.If you drove it for a few min like that then you might have to replace the bearings.But in your case if you didnt run it long do the thing I recomended and you will save a lot of money.You dont have to do open heart surgery just yet.but if you have to drop the pan you have two ways to go about it.
drop the k-member and then drop the pan or try to pull the engine up to get to the pan.

If you have a digital camera, take plenty of pictures before you start. If you don't have a digital camera, buy a cheap 2 or 3 megapixel camera.
Label wire connections, hoses etc....1 to 1, 2 to 2 etc.
The above quote is nothing but the truth. Don't be afraid. Just take your time. Hehe, just don't get mad like me because it's so tight around these cars sometimes.

well its a spun bearing so im just going to rebuild it and get a cc306 cam in there with some ported heads. all this will be done in the next 2 wks. hope i dont break my 10 bolt!!
