no fuel pressure?

Exclamation no fuel pressure?

I was racing this weekend and i had my car at about 6,000 rpm for a few seconds! when i got thru my fuel pressure gauge was on zero! i then parked my car and turned it off. turned it back on a few minutes later and everything was fine? does anyone have an idea of what may of happened?

Trust me when I say that if your car was running at 6,000 RPM on no fuel pressure even for 1 second, your motor would be finished. More than likely it was something with your fuel pressure gage, and to me it sounds like you need to check the sending unit for your fuel pressure regulator. Mine went out while I was on the dyno, and we had to replace it with a new one. If your car has issues starting, then this could be a symptom of a bad fuel pump. More than likely it there is something wrong with your fuel pressure gage though.

But if everything is fine with your fuel pressure gage, and sending unit, then I would definatly be looking into a motor shop cuase any car running that hard and then having a cut in fuel will have catastrophic conclusions, meaning your motor would be blown up.
